Virginia Elopement &
Intimate Wedding Photographer

About

Everything is blue as far as the eye can see.
The sweet mountain air fills your lungs.
The sound of the river flows into your ears.
This is the magic of Southwest Virginia.

I’m a Southwest Virginia Elopement and Intimate Wedding Photographer that provides a diverse array of couples with a safe, fun, and liberating elopement experience and an opportunity to experience the beauty of the hollers through non-traditional weddings that allow them to call all of the shots! My art is a love letter to the American South, a region in which I was born and raised, used to be ashamed of, and have grown to love.

A "holler" is an alternate term for a small valley between the majestic Appalachian Mountains, pronounced "Apple-at-cha," and it carries the rich heritage of the region.

Picture saying your "I Do's" in the embrace of these ancient mountains, with a gentle creek providing the background music for your special moment.

Whether it's just the two of you or a small gathering of loved ones, let the hollers of Southwest Virginia inspire your journey towards forever together, making unforgettable memories against the backdrop of this Appalachian landscape.

You’ll see me reference "hollers" a lot on here because Virginia, especially in the Southwest, is known for them.

Before delving into elopement photography full-time, I spent three years at Virginia Tech as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator across three departments: Biochemistry, Biological Systems Engineering, and Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. With a keen eye for detail, I spearheaded all marketing efforts and ensured deadlines were met, all the while, having to take into consideration the shifting perspectives of our stakeholders and target audiences.

These skills seamlessly translated into my elopement photography business, where my ON POINT planning meets your unique story and elopement day.
And though my work days at Tech are behind me, my Hokie spirit still burns bright—I'm always up for a tailgate and belting out "Enter Sandman" in Lane Stadium. Go Hokies!

I worked in marketing and communications at Virginia Tech.

Fun facts about me

My partner, Brian, and I met freshman year of high school. I instantly fell for him because he made me laugh and the way he saw the world intrigued me. We made it through all four years of high school, four years of long distance when we were both attending college, two years of living with his family in a small room during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we now live in Roanoke, Virginia in our own house!

We have a 16-year old cat named Oscar and a 4-year old pup named Marty and we love calling the New River Valley home. We got married at Happy Hollows Garden on Halloween in 2023!

I live in Roanoke, Virginia with my high school sweetheart, Brian.

During my junior year of college, I studied abroad and lived in Uruguay for six months and it completely changed my life. During that time, I was also a student at Universidad de Montevideo. I grew even more in love with travel than before, I gained a new found sense of confidence in myself that didn’t exist before, I explored so many incredible and jaw-dropping landscapes and fun and vibrant cities, I made lifelong friends all over the globe, and I was able to flourish speaking in my second language: Spanish.

This opportunity allowed me to dig deep and experience the world from the lens of so many people from all over the world and it’s expanded my world view tenfold!

I lived in Uruguay for six months in 2019.

And it’s one of the rare cases you’ll find where someone is actually using their degree! As like many people, my college years hold a special place in my heart. I met some of my closest friends there, I had the privilege of attending on a full-ride scholarship and graduating debt free (huge thanks to the UNCG Guarantee Scholars Program!), and I rep the Bryan School of Business and Economics hard!

UNCG prepared me to be the best entrepreneur and to serve my clients well with a great experience and fantastic service. My education ultimately allowed me to combine my passion and love for the art of photography and turn my business into a reality.

I graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Everyone has their comfort show and, for me, that’s RuPaul’s Drag Race. I've honestly lost count of how many times I've re-watched the American franchise! When a new season is airing, if I'm not photographing your elopement (wink, wink), you can bet that I'm at a viewing party on Friday and watching Pit Stop and Whatcha Packin' on Saturday.

Drag is such an interesting art form to me that always pushes the boundaries of our everyday society from fashion, politics, concepts of gender, comedy, and so much more. Drag performers are a huge inspiration to me and heavily influence how I view my own art and how I approach photographing people and a culturally significant event like a wedding or elopement day.

I love RuPaul’s Drag Race, Pit Stop, Whatcha Packin’ — all of it!

Cameron was accessible for our questions; she was organized, thorough, and really cared about getting the details just right. She took the time to get to know us and our story, which made us feel safe to be vulnerable. We really appreciated her transparency and constant communication throughout the whole process.

She worked with our busy schedules and helped us achieve so many of our ideas. We honestly attribute the success of the day to Cameron’s guidance in planning our timeline.

The photos were stunning and felt genuine. It was truly a great experience working with Cameron. We will be recommending her to anyone we can!"
